What should we bring with us on our fishing charter?

We provide everything you need for fishing including bait, tackle and license.

You may want to bring:

  • Cooler with snacks and drinks (alcohol allowed, no glass bottles)
  • Sunscreen
  • Towel/rag
  • Hat and/or long sleeve shirt to help keep the sun off

What if weather or sea conditions are bad?

Our captains monitor the weather very carefully and if the weather or sea conditions are unfavorable, the captain may cancel the trip.  The captain will typically make this decision the morning of the trip.  If your captain cancels the trip, you will be refunded.  Your trip will not be cancelled simply due to rain.  Only the captain is able to cancel your trip due to weather.

What is the difference between inshore and offshore fishing?

Inshore fishing is typically in the back bay areas and close to shore on a smaller center console boat.  The inshore boats can take a maximum of 6 people and all trips are private charters.  Fish cleaning is included on inshore trips.  Inshore fishing may be more suitable for small kids or those who are prone to sea sickness.

Offshore trips can range from 4 hours to 72 hours.  They are targeting larger fish than the inshore trips and can be private or shared.

What is your cancelation policy?

We accept cancellations up to 21 days in advance of the departure date for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 21 days of the departure date must be rescheduled ONE TIME ONLY within 90 days of the original booking date or payment and trip will be forfeited.

Cancellations made 72 hours or less may not reschedule and will forfeit both the payment and the trip.

If the captain cancels due to weather, sea conditions, mechanical difficulties (and if the trip cannot be rescheduled) you will receive a full refund.

Are your rates per person or per trip?

Our standard rates are per 4-passenger trip. An additional $50/passenger is required for the 5th & 6th passengers should you wish to include them.

How many passengers can you accommodate?

Per US Coast Guard regulations, we can only take up to 6 passengers.  If your group is larger than 6, we will partner with another captain to charter an additional boat.

What payment methods do you accept?

A $50 deposit is required to reserve your charter. You may pay the deposit in person or over the phone. Full payment will be made at the conclusion of your charter to your captain. We accept cash & checks. Our rates do not included gratuity.

Where do your charters depart from?

Our charters typically leave from the Punta Rassa boat ramp just before coming over the Sanibel Causeway. We can accommodate requests for pick-up on Captiva Island as well.  Call us for details at 239-579-0399
