The man, they myth, the legend! Captain Whitney Jones is your local expert on all things fishing! Originally from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Whitney is the youngest of 5 in a long line of fisherman. This is not the first venture into the bait and tackle business for Jones. He owned a similar store in Kitty Hawk, N.C., before moving to Sanibel. "I came for the 12 months of beautiful weather and the great fishing year round," said Jones, who was employed at Sanibel's Bait Box for eight years before striking out on his own, again. "I am a full-time fish guy." Jones is a lifelong, passionate angler, who has built a life around fishing. Also a local guide and master rod-builder, Jones has been designing hand crafted rods for more than 20 years to catch anything from the deepest bluewater marlin to the shallowest inshore gamefish!
